This is the boardwalk to the beach across from my house with high waves from Hurricane Ike which is 300 or more miles away slamming Galveston.
I was just having fun, and later remembered that the foamy part of a breaking wave is sometimes called the soup.
Rough of cartoon at top with final below. I removed a person to form a trio and changed "Fred" to "Mr. Witherspoon with his firm's new associates. And I made the "beach babe" into his "inner beach babe." Awkward.
From my deck at 5 p.m. The difference from the earlier photo is that the surf has built so that it's mostly white from breaking waves.
The lyrics to "Hello Dolly" are at Yahoo Music.
Note: "you're still goin' strong..." and "We feel the room swayin..."
This photo is from my deck at noon, today. Note the looming thunderhead clouds. The Gulf is getting angry as we prepare for Hurricane Dolly.
The final and the rough are similar except that I changed the sex of the leader of the flock from male to female for the final. I wanted long hair flowing to denote movement.
Top is the rough of this week's Scribble Beach, below it is the final.
A household that vacations together, stays together ... even the bugs.
My cat got out today.
Twenty-four little hours. Except that it had been raining for a week.
A cell phone camera grab of the real Scribble Beach from my deck during the rain today. I'm gathering animals two by two. That's the peek at the Gulf of Mexico I have from my deck between the duplex and the condo.
Rough is top left for ScribbleBeach cartoon for 07.07.08, final is below. I decided to have Margaret distracting Megan in the final and wearing a skirted bikini.
